Job Description Summary
- The Student Assistant will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the Leo Food Pantry, as leading the monthly food distribution.
Specific Duties
- Maintain physical Food Pantry, including stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness, keeping records of supplies, and coordinating the packing of food boxes. Oversee student requests for food boxes and coordinate distribution to students. Oversee donation bins on campus and coordinate regular collection of items. Develop and maintain relationship with the Los Angeles Food Exchange and other relevant community partners in the area.
Assist with developing outreach materials (brochure, website, social media) about the Program. Coordinate student, faculty, and staff volunteers. Attend campus meetings about the Food Pantry and related programs. Maintain records of all food and supply purchases. Assist with assessment of student hunger needs as well as the success of the Food Pantry to improve service to students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Word Processing and basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel software. Must be a current ULV student.

- Self-motivated. Organized and methodical. Independent worker. Strong communicator.
