OSEL Front Desk Assistant (2026/2027) - FWS ONLY

Work Schedule:

Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8AM-6PM and Friday 9AM-4PM. Schedule is dependent on students’ availability and Federal Work Study award. Student employees will work an average of 5 to 11 hours per week.

• Plan and implement Office of Student Engagement and Leadership events: open houses, holiday parties, and informational tabling.
• Be part of one or more committees that focus on:
• Office marketing
• Office engagement
• Assisting the Student Organizations Coordinator, and/or
• Office programming
• Provide Office of Student Engagement and Leadership visitors with information about events, campus resources, and other departments.
• Develop decorative items for the office and student events on campus.
• Maintain Office of Student Engagement and Leadership files and inventory of supplies.
• Attend monthly Office of Student Engagement and Leadership meetings.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Provide excellent customer service and information to OSEL Office visitors.
• Assist OSEL Director and OSEL Assistant Director with campus events, open houses, holiday parties, club trainings, Commencement, Homecoming, etc.
• Knowledge of campus events and programs.
• Participate in at least one committee within the OSEL Office.
• Maintain OSEL office files and inventory.
• Attend monthly meetings.
• Assist ASULV and CAB with set-up and clean-up of events.

• Meet and maintain a 2.0 GPA for the semester and cumulative.
• Positive attitude, outgoing, and friendly.
• Must be a current ULV student

• Some knowledge about programs and services offered at the University of La Verne.
• Customer Service experience.
• Familiarity with Campus Labs.
• Knowledge of Campus locations and resources.

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

• One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.

The physical demands include the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. The essential functions of this job do not require lifting.
