The Field Experience Supervisor for Special Education provides support and guidance to LFCE teaching credential candidates working in a TK-12, 18-22 special education setting, completing fieldwork, intern, or directed/student teaching hours throughout the Inclusive Education (Special Education) program. The Field Experience Supervisor will mentor, observe candidates, evaluate their performance, and provide constructive feedback.

• Master’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Clear California Special Education Teaching Credential with an English Learner Authorization:
  Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, Mild/Moderate Support Needs, Extensive Support Needs.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Three years of experience with successful special education teaching experience. Three years of experience working with diverse student populations including English learners.
• Knowledge of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession for Special Education.
• Knowledge of the Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs) for Special Education.
• Basic technology skills: completing online forms, scanning/emailing attachments; experience with online collaboration tools such as Google Classroom, Web Ex, Zoom; experience in teaching and/or working with adult learners.

Knowledge of the California Teaching Performance Assessment (CalTPA) for Special Education.

Applicants, please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee’s total compensation.
