Assist the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership staff as the Fraternity and Sorority Life Student Lead. The main purpose of the Fraternity and Sorority Life Lead is to promote and gain exposure for the Fraternity and Sorority Life Community.

Specific duties include creating and distributing marketing materials, sending bi-weekly Fraternity and Sorority Life Newsletters, and assisting with other program support materials for Fraternity and Sorority Life. Additionally, assist with planning and execution of meetings, Involvement Fair, Fraternity and Sorority Life Conference, Fraternity and Sorority Life Week, Fraternity and Sorority Life New Member Orientation, Office of Student Engagement and Leadership Award Ceremony, and other important programming.

Attend weekly meetings with the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership Coordinator. Assist with administrative duties such as checking email accounts and making copies. Maintain a clean and organized Fraternity and Sorority Life Student Lead workspace.

Minimum qualifications include meeting and maintaining a 2.0 GPA for the semester and cumulative, having a positive attitude and being friendly, being an initiated member of a ULV-recognized social fraternity or sorority, possessing organization and time management skills, being comfortable and capable of interacting and speaking in public settings and facilitating meetings, and being a current ULV student.

Preferred qualifications include knowing, understanding, and working with University of La Verne policies and procedures, having good oral and written communication skills, developing spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations, and experience utilizing Canva, Mail Chimp, and other design platforms.

Employees are eligible for the following benefits: one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of paid sick leave per year and capped at 48 hours. University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds. In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.

Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
