Job Description Summary
- Provide training and guidance to front desk coordinators and their committees.
- Develop monthly meeting agendas and facilitate meetings and trainings.
- Promote the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership to the La Verne Community.
- Assist with maintaining OSEL Office profile via Campus Labs (images, newsletter, etc.).
- Plan and implement Office of Student Engagement and Leadership events.
- Provide Student Affairs Suite visitors with information about events and other departments.
- Participate in the hiring of Front Desk Assistants.
- Maintain Office of Student Engagement and Leadership files and inventory of supplies.
- All other duties as assigned.
Specific Duties
- Support front desk coordinators and facilitate training and meetings
- Approve student events and maintain Campus
- Answer questions of students and other visitors
- Answer telephone calls
- Assist ASULV and CAB with set-up and clean-up of events
- Assist in the planning and implementing of Office of Student Engagement & Leadership promotional events
Minimum Qualifications
- Meet and maintain a 2.5 GPA for the semester and cumulative
- Positive attitude, outgoing, and friendly
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a Front Desk Assistant
- Some knowledge about programs and services offered at the University of La Verne
- Customer Service
- Familiarity with Campus Labs
- Knowledge of Campus locations and resources
Benefits Summary
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act ( ACA ), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
