Job Description Summary

Seeking a responsible, service-minded student who is self-motivated and able to work in a fast pace work environment.

Specific Duties

  • Greet/receive students, parents, staff
  • Direct visitors to appropriate staff members
  • Filing
  • Answer general phone line when needed
  • Scanning student files
  • Errands/deliveries across campus
  • Processing incoming faxes, mail and emails

Other duties will include:

  • Data entry on our Banner system; attention to detail when reviewing Financial Aid documents and able to work well independently when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the 26/27 academic year
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, identify resources, and make independent decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of computer usage, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Benefits Summary

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

  • One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
  • University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan - can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
  • In accordance with the Affordable Care Act ( ACA ), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
  • Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
