Job Description Summary

The Faculty Coordinator for Community College Leadership serves as the primary faculty liaison between the LaFetra College of Education ( LFCE ) and California community colleges. The position advances three strategic objectives: (1) providing faculty leadership for the Community College Leadership concentration within the EdD in Organizational Leadership; (2) strengthening academic pathways between California community colleges and LFCE , with particular emphasis on the Integrated Teacher Preparation and undergraduate Child Development programs;

and (3) expanding collaborative partnerships that support academic collaboration, educator workforce development, and student success. Working collaboratively with LFCE faculty and administration, the Faculty Coordinator represents LFCE within the California community college system and identifies opportunities that advance the College’s strategic priorities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Earned doctorate in Organizational Leadership, Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, Community College Leadership, or a closely related field.
  • Current or recent faculty or leadership experience within a California community college.
  • Strong understanding of the California community college system, transfer pathways, and student success initiatives.
  • Evidence of effective teaching at the postsecondary level.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across educational institutions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the University of La Verne.
