The Educational Counseling Program at the University of La Verne invites applications for adjunct instructor positions. We seek faculty colleagues to join a diverse, collaborative, motivated, training program. Our goal is to develop competent, ethical practitioners prepared to be leaders, advocates, and social change agents in education by providing comprehensive, results-based services for all pupils and the larger community. We appreciate and encourage applicants with diverse backgrounds and professional experiences in culturally diverse urban/suburban school settings to inquire and apply.

Teach graduate-level educational counseling courses at any of our campuses (LaVerne, Bakersfield, Burbank Cerritos, Irvine, Santa Clarita, and Oxnard). Engage in annual meetings and participate in other program-related training and activities throughout the academic year.

• Earned doctorate or master’s degree in Educational Counseling or School Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
• PPS Credential with specialization in School Counseling.
• A minimum of three years of successful experience in Educational Counseling PK-16.
• A commitment to and experience working with diverse student populations, families, communities and issues of social justice.
• Experience with development of planning, organizing, and implementing data-based comprehensive school counseling programs, best practices in individual/small group counseling, counselor leadership.
• Working knowledge of the American School Counselor Association ( ASCA ) National Model framework for comprehensive, data-driven school counseling programs.
