Associate Engineer
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking an Associate Engineer to join the Water Quality Section's Operations Compliance Team. This role involves ensuring 100 percent compliance with all drinking water standards in the operation of Metropolitan's water systems.
Responsibilities include reviewing and summarizing operational data, providing technical support, conducting evaluations, assisting with facility start-ups, performing water chemistry and hydraulics calculations, providing training, and offering emergency response support.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and two years of relevant experience. Relevant fields include Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
Required certifications include a valid California Class C Driver's License and Engineer in Training (EIT) status.
Selection criteria are based on technical knowledge, job preparation, communication skills, analytical skills, teamwork, oral communication, and organization skills.
