Job SummaryThe Assistant Director, Enrollment Systems & Operations (CRM Administrator) serves as the primary functional and operational owner of the University’s CRM (Slate) within Enrollment Management. This role is responsible for system configuration, workflow development, data management, and the execution of CRM‑driven communications. In close partnership with the Assistant Director of Enrollment Communications & Strategy, the CRM Administrator translates communication strategy into scalable workflows and ensures the accurate and timely delivery of communications.
The role provides technical leadership for CRM operations—including system administration, integrations, and data governance.
- Serve as functional owner of Slate CRM.
- Translate enrollment and communication strategies into workflows and processes.
- Ensure system readiness for recruitment cycles.
- Build and deploy communication workflows (email, SMS, triggers).
- Implement segmentation and automation based on strategy.
- Ensure accuracy and timing of all CRM communications.
- Co‑own segmentation strategy with Assistant Director.
- Maintain queries, audience definitions, and naming conventions.
- Ensure data integrity and scalability.
- Configure forms, applications, portals, and workflows.
- Manage permissions and system governance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Serve as CRM expert for Enrollment staff.
- Provide training and documentation.
- Support adoption of CRM best practices.
- Partner with IT on integrations (Banner, etc.).
- Define functional requirements and support testing.
- Coordinate updates and enhancements.
- Build reports and queries.
- Support performance analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3–5+ years of CRM experience.
- Strong technical, data, and project management skills.
- Experience with workflow configuration and system administration.
- 3–5+ years of Slate CRM experience in a higher education setting.

Work EnvironmentThe position is onsite and based in a standard office environment. It involves largely sedentary work at a desk, using a computer, and routine office tasks such as emailing, attending meetings, and communicating with colleagues.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands include the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. The noise level is generally low to moderate. The position may occasionally involve meeting deadlines or managing multiple priorities, requiring sustained focus and mental stamina.
