Digital Media Student Assistant ) - FWS ONLY

Perform a variety of supporting duties for the ULV Communications/Digital Media Department, TV and LeoFM station operation.

Specific duties include answering phones, typing, photocopying, running errands, assisting in the organization of the broadcast office, scheduling studio/edit facilities, equipment reservations, facilitating equipment check in and out procedures, programming and production assistance, assisting students in radio labs/edit rooms, studio and transmitter maintenance, media organization and cataloging, cleaning and organizing of workroom and studios, LeoFM/Digital Audio and Film/TV studio maintenance and equipment organization, such as charging batteries, equipment checkout, editing bay reservations, labeling equipment and any other functions related to digital media lab/studio operation, assisting faculty and staff as needed, monitoring LVTV's & LeoFM's technical quality, and housekeeping duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include being a current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the 26/27 academic year, basic computer skills, ability to lift light to heavy objects, ability to work independently, good customer service attitude, hard worker, and ability to learn quickly.

Preferred qualifications include Film/Radio/TV equipment knowledge, Adobe software knowledge, beginning Radio/Film/TV/Multi-Media classes, and Pro Tools software.

Employees are eligible for one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of paid sick leave per year and capped at 48 hours. Employees are also eligible for the University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan, medical coverage through the University of La Verne, and covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.

The physical demands include the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. The essential functions of this job require lifting up to 100 lbs for less than a minute.

The hourly rate is $16.90.
