Part-time Seasonal Employee
Pay Rate: $22.08-$25.56 Hourly
Hours:
Up to 28 hours per week, Monday through Sunday (6:30 AM – 8:00 PM)

Certifications required:
American Red Cross CPR/AED/Basic First Aid Certificate, Advanced Lifesaving (Lifeguarding) Certificate
- Knowledge of principles and practices in aquatics, and ability to organize and direct aquatics activities.
- Supervisory and leadership skills to supervise subordinates effectively.
- Ability to organize and present written and oral reports.
- Ability to work effectively with supervisors and the public.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Water Safety Instructor.
Under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Supervisor, the Assistant Pool Manager is responsible for the complete operation of the swimming pool, including accountability for all monies, personnel scheduling and supervision, class scheduling, record keeping, and enforcement of the pool rules and regulations.
Selection ProcessApplicants who closely match the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in an examination process, which may include a combination of written exercise, panel interview, or other testing deemed appropriate. Candidates who receive a passing score at the appraisal interview will be placed on an eligibility list.
Legal StatementsUnder Federal law, employees must contribute 1.45% of their gross monthly earnings for Medicare coverage. The City will match the employee's contribution.
