Job Overview
Make a difference at MTM Transit by leading transportation services to remove community barriers nationwide. The General Manager works closely with operations, corporate support departments, and transportation providers to ensure cost‑effective delivery of services. Eligible candidates will perform the role upon award of the RFP.
Responsibilities- Contract oversight and facilitation of client needs with anticipation of growth.
- Identify potential risk and develop resolution processes.
- Analyze program needs and productivity, adjusting staffing and resources for cost effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain documentation or work plans as required.
- Train and develop employees, ensuring understanding of contract, MTM Transit policies, employee handbook and compliance.
- Maintain a working relationship with clients to ensure exceptional customer service and problem resolution.
- Act as a liaison between MTM Transit and client to address concerns or issues promptly.
- Present annual plan reviews in a consultative manner.
- Educate clients on MTM Transit procedures, services, and industry changes.
- Promote a “Safety First” attitude among clients and personnel.
- Understand local climate needs and industry requirements, ensuring smooth transportation services.
- Maintain employee and vehicle files following FTA and DOT guidelines.
- Monitor performance of direct reports and provide coaching and guidance.
- Oversee federally mandated drug and alcohol program.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 7+ years managing or supporting operations in a multimillion‑dollar contract environment.
- Experience managing a site of 100+ employees.
- Previous management in the Para‑Transit or livery industries.
- Experience monitoring delivery of contractual services.
- Valid current driver’s license.
- Excellent interpersonal and team‑building skills.
- In-depth knowledge of MTM Transit operations, policies, and guidelines.
- Proficiency with computerized transit routing systems.
- Data analysis, interpretation, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Scheduling, organization, and prioritization of multiple tasks.
- Budget and cost analysis understanding.
- Moderate to advanced computer skills and data reporting/analytics.
- Knowledge of ADA, DOT, FTA regulations.
- Establishing key processes and procedures.
- Maintaining confidentiality.
- Prior contract or project management experience.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Minimum: $99,760 annually / Maximum: $149,640 annually.
