Job Description

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This position offers an incredible opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial operations and contribute to our long-term success. As a Permanent Accountant, you will be at the heart of our financial activities, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of our financial information.
Responsibilities- Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring comprehensive compliance with regulatory and reporting standards.
- Supervise the preparation and detail review of balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis.
- Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Lead the ERP implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal utilization of the system.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights for decision making.
- Coordinate with external auditors providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, general accounting, and ERP implementation.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially in Excel, and experience with accounting software.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
