Job DescriptionOlsson is seeking a Civil Construction Manager/Inspector to join our team, working on diverse construction projects throughout the Omaha metropolitan area. As a Construction Manager/Inspector you will be responsible for complex construction projects, managing and overseeing the quality of construction at the project site. You will act as a quality assurance manager representing the owner with regards to all construction activities, tracking that special inspections and materials testing are completed, overseeing RFIs and submittals, attending project meetings, and ensuring that the quality documentation of the project is completed per the owners' requirements.
Primary duties and responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications at various stages of a project.
- Initiate actions needed to keep construction progress on schedule.
- Solve on‑site problems and situations regarding construction of the project and design modifications.
- Work in all types of terrain and weather conditions on project sites in various stages of construction.
- Identify and avoid potential hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites.
- Use of a company truck for transportation to and from job sites.
- Applicable PPE (personal protective equipment) provided.
- Prescription safety eyewear and work boot reimbursement program.
- Company‑issued laptop.

- Valid driver’s license and a good driving history.
- Schedule flexibility.
- 3–5 years’ experience performing construction materials testing, observation, or construction administration.
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Grade 1, Nuclear Gauge Safety Training, and OSHA
10 or OSHA
30 preferred but not required. - Associate or bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related field preferred but not required.
