OverviewDeliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying customer needs and providing advice and guidance on financial solutions that best serve customers. Work collaboratively within the branch and across channels to achieve business objectives, proactively engage existing customers and prospects, and grow loyalty and opportunities.
Responsibilities- Conduct needs assessments and recommend tailored financial solutions, including everyday banking, retail investments, lending, home financing, and small business solutions.
- Guide clients on digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
- Support customer transactions and manage day‑to‑day branch traffic.
- Generate appointments, build new relationships within the community, and reach out to potential customers.
- Resolve issues through consumer credit audits, quality checks, and data entry accuracy.
- Apply the risk management framework to protect assets and maintain portfolio quality in compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in line with sound credit principles and bank policies.
- Integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations.
- Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and market trends.
- Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering.
- Handle escalations, analyze issues, and determine next steps.
- Support risk and compliance processes and safeguard customer assets and privacy.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience or a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registration to sell investment products (where applicable).
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
- Knowledge of retail investments and lending products.
- Experience in financial services is an asset.
- Comfortable with social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
- Consultative customer‑service or sales background with a focus on delivering a personal experience.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, problem‑solving, and creative thinking skills.
- Team collaboration and self‑starter attitude.
Salary: $41,714.00 – $62,500.00 (Salaried). Commissions, performance incentives, and discretionary bonuses may apply. Part‑time roles are prorated.
