The Role

The Junior Collection Specialist is a part of Turf Tank's Finance department and will report to the Senior Junior Collection Specialist and work closely with the Finance team, located in La Vista, NE. The Junior Collection Specialist's main function is to drive debt and cash collection.

The Junior Collection Specialist will profoundly impact Turf Tank’s financials and assist with an efficient sales-to-cash process. The success of this role will be measured by metrics related to monthly collection goals and aged debt.

What You’ll Do
  • monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
  • investigate historical data
  • directly contact customers to collect via email and phone calls
  • adopt clear and timely collection practices to promote prompt payments
  • record accurate and detailed account notes promptly
  • report on collection activity
  • assist with other finance-related tasks
The Junior Collection Specialist must be able to….
  • work independently but in tandem with the Senior Junior Collection Specialist
  • collaborate with teammates from every department
  • build strong interpersonal relationships
  • independently research customer accounts for answers to issues
  • communicate effectively and accurately via email and phone
  • adapt to rapidly changing environments
The Junior Collection Specialist must have….
  • high attention to detail
  • the capability to seamlessly navigate and work across multiple systems simultaneously
  • 1-2 years of business-to-business collection experience
Requirements
  • overnight travel is required up to 5% of the time
  • day travel is required up to 5% of the time
  • work in our La Vista NE office 5 days per week
  • general work hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
  • a Strengths Finder and Excel assessments will be given during the interview process
  • must pass a background screen before start date
  • physical requirements required of standard office environments
