Job TitleStorage Engineer I
Work EnvironmentOsaic has returned to the office on a hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of 4 days weekly in the office. Applicants must be located at one of our hubs and be willing to work this schedule.
Role TypeFull‑time, Non‑Exempt
Salary60,000 – 79,000 per year + annual performance‑based bonus. Compensation determined individually based on location, skills, licensure, experience, and education.

SummaryThe primary responsibilities are to implement and maintain datacenter backup and storage systems, review performance and adjust as necessary, and manage software and firmware levels. Secondary responsibilities include managing general datacenter equipment (storage, compute, console, power, cabling, virtualization), monitoring performance, troubleshooting, security analysis, audits, and other related tasks.
Responsibilities- Perform all duties associated with the Data Center Services Team, directed by DCS Leadership.
- Manage, monitor, and maintain backup and storage systems.
- Work with System Administration and Application Operations teams to validate all systems are backed up as required.
- Perform duties with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Perform configuration tuning as necessary.
- Create and update documentation based on standardized templates.
- Ensure all supported systems are highly reliable, secure, and performing at acceptable levels.
- Conduct root cause analysis of outages and ensure repairs.
- Review new patches or releases that improve performance or are vendor‑recommended.
- Enhance alarm and system monitoring for servers and network.
- Assist research, development and deployment of new technologies and multi‑vendor integration.
- Implement and maintain a consistent backup and disaster recovery plan.
- Ensure timely delivery of hardware upgrades, network upgrades and new configurations.
- Participate in planning, design, technical review and implementation for new infrastructure hardware and operating systems for voice and data communication networks.
- Assist in developing ongoing security strategy.
- Perform various projects and tasks assigned by manager.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 5 years’ experience with storage systems.
- 5 years’ experience with SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) technologies.
- 5 years’ experience with Windows Server operating system.
- 5 years’ experience in physical and virtual server builds.
- Experience writing scripts to automate common tasks.
- Knowledge of Microsoft clustering, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Windows networking.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of virtualization principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple projects and team members.
- 5 years’ experience managing information technology systems in a hybrid infrastructure.
- 5 years’ experience in disaster recovery planning, documentation and implementation.
- Industry certifications.
