This position is responsible for the management of planning, inventory control, and production control activities, including the development of personnel. This position will manage the development and communication of the manufacturing and distribution schedule for all products. This position will work jointly with Purchasing to ensure adequate inventories of critical raw materials necessary for new product introduction as well as production, packaging, and distribution of existing product lines.
This role requires collaboration with product and production management to ensure the optimal use of Streck's production resources, including equipment, labor, and raw materials. Also responsible for other duties assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (preferably business, technical, or supply chain).
- Minimum of five years of purchasing, planning, or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
- Must be dependable, well organized, possess good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Working knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, forecasting and product costing operations and procedures.
- Ability to collect and analyze data as well as effectively communicate findings to management.
- Ability to use prudent judgement in various situations and make appropriate decisions within scope of responsibilities.
- Ability to anticipate potential problems, analyze existing problems and recommend both corrective and preventive action.
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work). Travel demands for this position are estimated up to 0%. If travel is required, this travel may include customer visits, events/trade shows, and completion of presentations primarily throughout Domestic US or International regions. Employees must comply with all travel recommendations regarding "safe travel" according to company policies and guidelines, and all federal, state, local, and international orders.
