Keys to Job:Associates degree or apprenticeship in Machine/Tool and Die Technology; ability to run and set up both conventional and CNC equipment; 3-5 years manufacturing experience; quality environment experience; strong problem-solving and communication skills. 2nd shift role with $2/hr differential. Ideal for a quality-focused machinist who enjoys special setups and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a skilled Production Machine Operator - 2nd shift who is quality-focused and brings a continuous improvement mindset. In this role, you will support daily production by setting up and operating both CNC and conventional machines, working with a variety of materials and components, and handling special setups for custom projects.

What You’ll Do:
  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on mills, lathes, and drill presses.
  • Calculate and set controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth/angle of cut, or enter and edit computerized machine control programs.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make necessary adjustments.
  • Verify finished work pieces against specifications and perform trial runs to confirm settings or programmed data.
  • Assemble parts into complete assemblies and verify dimensions and alignment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and programmers to resolve machining or assembly issues.
  • Build fixtures for drilling, milling, and turning operations.
  • Review engineering, sales, and manufacturing inputs for accuracy and communicate any needed corrections to maintain consistent quality.
  • Support and sustain 5S, quality, and safety initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Associate’s degree or completion of an apprenticeship in Machine/Tool and Die Technology (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to set up and operate both conventional and CNC equipment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a quality-focused setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.
