Productivity Inc seeks a Senior CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate advanced CNC equipment producing precision parts for diverse industries. You'll interpret blueprints and GD&T, select tooling, optimize feeds/speeds, and inspect parts with precision instruments to ensure top quality. Partnering with engineers and technicians, you'll troubleshoot issues, refine processes, and support automation and robotics projects. This hands-on role offers exposure to leading-edge machine tools, continuous improvement initiatives, and opportunities to mentor junior machinists in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC mills/lathes to produce precision components to spec
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CNC programs to ensure accurate machining
- Select tooling, set offsets, and optimize feeds/speeds for quality and throughput
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs or setups to resolve problems
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on CNC machines and tooling
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve processes and reduce downtime
- Document setups, tooling, and process changes for repeatability and continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following safety standards
- Support training and knowledge sharing with machinists and apprentices as needed
Required Skills
- CNC machine setup and operation
- CNC programming (G-code/Fanuc/HAAS or similar)
- Blueprint and GD&T interpretation
- Precision measurement and inspection

- CAM software use (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion)
