Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Shift Differential: Additional $2.00 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts

Shifts: 2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM; 3rd shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

General Function: The quality line auditor is responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards before they are released to the customer.

• Inspecting products on the production line to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Perform quality process inspections at the gauging station at required intervals following written instructions per the customers  requirements.
• Identify and report any quality issues or defects to production supervisors and management, stopping the line for quality issues requiring immediate attention.
• Pull samples for FARO inspection.
• Inspect parts at the gauging station for specified dimensions and check for bow, camber, twist, and flair.
• Monitor the line for physical defects such as scratches, burrs, and cutoff length.
• Communicate with the machine operator when adjustments are needed.
• Coordinate with line personnel when parts need to be held for Quality Review at various machine events (line stops for adjustments, cutoff press adjustments, camber/bow adjustments, coil changes).
• Review parts held in Quality Review to determine if they are acceptable or require escalation to the Quality Manager.
• Act as backup for the Packers during breaks or to cover absenteeism.
• Ensure packing supplies are at the packing station.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required, including projects or assignments to support the plant.

• The Quality Line Auditor is a safety-sensitive position working directly with machinery and equipment. Frequent exposure to a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment where ambient air temperature can be higher than outside.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Must grasp, hold, lift, and move objects weighing up to 20 pounds when necessary.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl under or over, and frequently climb stairs.
• Must be available to work overtime, including weekends, to meet organizational needs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) within all levels of the organization
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to self-motivate, problem-solve, and work in a dynamic environment
• Ability to understand and apply written, oral, or diagram instructions
