WSDOT is currently seeking a Fiscal Analyst 3 to join the Accounting & Financial Services Division's Toll Accounting team. This role is ideal for a financial professional who enjoys analyzing complex financial data, solving problems, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the agency’s financial information.

As a member of the Toll Accounting team, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of Washington's tolling operations. You will perform complex reconciliations, analyze financial activity across multiple accounting systems, support compliance with state and federal accounting policies, and help ensure the accurate reporting of toll revenue and customer accounts. Your work will directly support WSDOT's fiduciary responsibility to provide timely, accurate, and transparent financial information to agency leadership, stakeholders, and the public.

Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, you will:

• Reconcile toll-related cash activity between toll vendors, the Office of the State Treasurer, and agency financial systems.
• Prepare and submit cash receipt documentation to support financial processing and reporting requirements.
• Review reconciliations prepared by third-party vendors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Reconcile and resolve discrepancies in financial activity between subsidiary systems and statewide accounting systems.
• Prepare accounting entries, adjustments, and corrections within WSDOT's and the state’s financial system.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports related to toll revenue and customer accounts.
• Verify the accuracy and reliability of financial information maintained within multiple financial systems.
• Analyze, reconcile, and correct general ledger balances.
• Develop and review complex financial reports used by agency leadership and external stakeholders.
• Interpret and apply financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting requirements to support informed decision-making.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial processes and reporting.
• Assist with inventory-related activities and support financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting activities and support audit requests.
• Prepare and submit documentation for imaging and records retention purposes.
