The Contracts Specialist 3 provides senior-level contract administration and oversight for the Home and Community Living Administration and Developmental Disabilities Administration within DSHS. This role involves developing and managing contracts, ensuring statewide compliance with state and federal regulations, and serving as a liaison between regional contract staff and central legal services. The position is based in Lacey, WA and offers a hybrid telework schedule.
KeyQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, business law, commerce, economics, mathematics, statistics, or related field
- 3 years of experience negotiating, administering, or terminating contracts, or contract compliance administration
- Skilled research, analysis, and interpretation of laws, rules, and policies with meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communication and facilitation skills with ability to stay current on industry best practices
- Knowledge of Washington State and federal contract laws and regulations (preferred)
- Ability to negotiate contract terms and identify non-compliance within existing contracts (preferred)
