Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, reviewing construction drawings, and preparing comprehensive bids that align with client specifications and project requirements. Your expertise in construction estimating, cost management, and project management will drive successful project planning and ensure competitive pricing.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage budgets effectively, and contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.

Duties
  • Review and interpret detailed construction drawings, technical specifications/building codes, and blueprints to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis, including pricing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes to develop precise project budgets.
  • Organize/keep track of estimate schedule.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction management teams to review contracts, scope of work, and technical drawings for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Follow up on pending projects/bids.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in managing projects as a construction estimator with a strong background in construction estimating practices.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, cost management, and cost control strategies within the construction industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction site operations, technical drawings interpretation, and contract review processes.
  • Hands-on experience with estimating material requirements from blueprints and managing project budgets effectively.
  • Construction management experience is highly desirable; familiarity with contracts and project management principles is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical documents.
  • Strong math skills (trigonometry).
