Position Summary
A remote, full‑time Certified Middle School Mathematics Teacher works with students, families, and instructional staff to deliver high‑quality online instruction. The role includes teaching, student support, communication, community building, and professional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Host a homeroom and conduct weekly Live Lessons.
- Support students and families through key academic cycle tasks such as Welcome Calls, Intent to Return, and monthly progress checks.
- Deliver at least one synchronous Live Lesson per course each week and provide asynchronous support videos.
- Grade assignments within eight days, providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Use data to provide Tier 1 differentiated instruction and support Tier 2/3 interventions.
- Engineer alternate lessons, assessments, and strategies to meet individual goals.
- Communicate regularly with caretakers, students, and instructional staff via computer and telephone.
- Maintain contact logs within 24 hours and meet weekly student contact requirements.
- Coordinate and participate in social activities, virtual field trips, and community events.
- Assist in state testing proctoring and student recruitment/marketing efforts.
- Collaborate on IEP and 504 teams, professional learning communities, and counseling support.
- Attend training, professional development, and team‑building activities.
- Report incidents and stay updated on state regulations.
- Travel for events such as school trainings, state testing, graduation ceremonies, and field trips.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Washington teacher certification in K‑8 Elementary Education or Mathematics.
- Residence in Washington preferred.
- Proficiency with technology:
Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, Nearpod, and data tools. - Excellent oral and written communication skills with diverse audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to foster an inclusive, equitable workplace and classroom environment.
- Student‑ and family‑focused approach supporting diverse backgrounds and identities.
Salary commensurate with experience, ranges from $40,000 to $55,000.
