Compensation : $1500 per credit (PhD), $1333 per credit (Masters)

The Civil Engineering Department invites applications for individuals interested in teaching general engineering courses such as Graphics and Computer Aided Drafting, Mechanics of Materials, Mechanics of Materials Lab, Statics, and or Dynamics. Applications are continuously accepted to fill openings throughout the academic year.

The department’s mission is to prepare students for a professional career, fostering community, small class sizes, active mentorship, and opportunities for hands‑on learning.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement.
  • Engage with the department in curriculum development.
  • Participate in departmental assessment of student outcomes.
  • Provide timely and meaningful feedback to students regarding their coursework and progress.

Qualifications / Requirements
:

  • A Masters in Engineering
  • A bachelor’s of Science degree from an ABET‑accredited engineering program
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching and mentoring students
  • Eligibility to work in the United States from the start date of the appointment
  • Support for the Saint Martin’s Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts tradition
  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses in water‑related infrastructure
  • Professional engineering licensure
