Assistant Professor Of Mathematics
Saint Martin's University, a private Catholic, Benedictine university located in Western Washington invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in mathematics at the assistant professor level to begin August 2026. A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required, and teaching experience is highly desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in applied mathematics or statistics.
Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and the ability to teach courses across all levels of an undergraduate mathematics curriculum.
The successful candidate will be expected to advise students and perform departmental and university-wide service as well as participate in ongoing curriculum development. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating an interest in mentoring undergraduate research projects. The standard teaching load is 24 semester credit hours per year.
Faculty members are expected to support the Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts mission of the university. Candidates must have valid documentation permitting them to work in the US from the date on which the appointment at Saint Martin's takes effect. The position is subject to final budgetary approval.
