Job Description

Join the KPFF Lacey team as a motivated, energetic, and experienced Senior Project Manager with at least four years of experience and a strong background in managing civil engineering projects ensuring they are delivered to the highest quality standards.

This position provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects for both public agencies and private developers which include:

Our Project Managers play a critical role in our design teams, and exhibit strong leadership, time management, and communication skills to pursue, develop, and execute projects to meet client expectations. In this role, you'll not only refine your existing expertise in civil engineering; you will also mentor other engineers with technical knowledge, research and ability, design, permitting, and other project components.

  • Support organizational growth through the proactive pursuit of new clients and projects; leveraging industry connections and technical expertise.
  • Foster strong client relationships by actively listening to client needs, providing clear communication, and delivering customized solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Track project budget and timing to ensure fulfillment of contract commitments.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and supporting a positive work environment.
  • Supervise and mentor design engineers and drafters overseeing quality control processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of project deliverables.
  • Write, or review project proposals and statements of qualifications, and establish fees and project schedules.
  • Ability to communicate with contractors, and conduct site visits and inspections as necessary to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or attending meetings.
  • Occasionally, it may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
  • P.E. License in Washington State.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Civil Project Manager.
  • Knowledge of codes, regulations, and standards applicable to the design and construction of major site development projects in Washington State.
  • Permitting experience with various municipalities.
Additional Information Compensation

The base salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $102,000 - $150,000 determined by experience, education, and skills. KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions. Additional details about the full compensation package will be provided during the interview process.
