Senior Tax Strategist

• Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company federal tax returns
• Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
• Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes
• Manage members of the tax team
• Plan for and develop an overall return calendar
• Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
• Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments
• Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects
• Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
• 5 years minimum related work experience

Demonstrates expertise in federal and state tax return preparation, strategic tax planning, and compliance with tax regulations. Proven ability to manage tax teams, improve processes, and handle IRS audits effectively.
