Description
Foot & Ankle Surgical Associates, a division of US Foot & Ankle Specialists, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work directly alongside our physicians to provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, supporting providers during procedures, and being part of a collaborative clinical team.
EssentialFunctions/Responsibilities (other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Welcome patients, room them, take vitals, update medical history, and prepare them for exams
- Assist physicians with injections, wound care, nail care, minor procedures, and in-office surgeries
- Apply DME, strappings, and pads; take X-rays; prepare and submit lab specimens
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure clinical supplies are stocked
- Provide patient education and follow-up communication
- Support scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Verify insurance, referrals, and authorizations
- Maintain accurate patient records through EMR documentation, scanning, and data entry
- Support billing follow-ups, orthotics tracking, and daily office operations
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience

- $20 - $22 per hour based on experience
