Job Description GENERAL FUNCTION

A central scheduler in the Practice will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient scheduling, communication, and resource management to support the overall functioning of the Practice.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Interact with patients to schedule appointments, provide information about procedures, and answer questions related to scheduling.
  • Maintain and update the schedules, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on appointments, meetings, and other commitments.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient appointments, cancellations, and reschedules.
  • Communicate effectively with team within the practice to ensure smooth coordination and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and appointment requirements to facilitate a seamless check-in process.
  • Ensure compliance with Practice policies, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and other relevant guidelines related to scheduling and patient information.
  • Manage last minute changes, cancellations, and urgent appointment requests while maintaining a balanced schedule.
  • Proficiently use scheduling software and electronic health records systems to streamline the scheduling process and maintain accurate records.
  • Strive to enhance the patient’s experience by minimizing wait times, providing clear instructions, and addressing scheduling-related concerns promptly.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Organization skills and ability to multitask
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, listening, presentation)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with in-store technology, such as point of sale, patient record systems and other software applications
  • Proven ability to identify issues and solve problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range: 18.73 - 28.97
