** Pallet Repair Tech*
* Location:
Lacey, WA
Pay: $18.25
** Position Summary*
* The Pallet Repair Technician / Pallet Builder is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding damaged pallets to return them to service-ready condition. This role plays a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction by restoring pallets efficiently and safely before preparing them for shipment.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Inspect inbound pallets for damage and determine appropriate repair methods
+ Repair and rebuild pallets using proper tools and techniques to meet quality standards
+ Verify completed pallets meet company specifications and customer requirements
+ Accurately complete all required production paperwork
+ Maintain production efficiency and meet established repair quotas after training
+ Work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
+ Stack and organize repaired pallets according to inventory guidelines
+ Ensure loads are properly secured for transport
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
+ Communicate effectively with supervisors and plant leadership
+ Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and core values
** Tools & Equipment Used*
* + Nail gun
+ Manual and electric saws
+ Hammer
+ Wire brushes
+ Pneumatic and other woodworking tools
** Qualifications & Requirements*
* + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
+ Ability to work quickly and efficiently with hands
+ Basic problem-solving skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
+ Effective communication skills (oral and written)
+ Ability to work independently and meet production goals
+ Must strictly follow all safety rules and regulations
** Experience & Education*
* + Experience safely operating air-driven, electric, pneumatic, and manual tools required
+ Background in construction, carpentry, roofing, welding, or similar trades strongly preferred
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Completion of a trade or craft apprenticeship is a plus
** Physical Requirements & Work Environment*
* + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
+ Frequent standing, bending, twisting, and walking throughout shifts
+ Work performed in an industrial environment with exposure to outdoor elements (heat, cold, dust, etc.)
+ Ability to maintain balance and coordination while handling materials
+ Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
+ Safety glasses
+ Hearing protection
+ Steel-toe or safety footwear
+ Noise levels vary depending on location
