Plasma Center Nurse – LPN

Job Description

As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, notifying donors of unsuitable results, and following SOPs for medical emergencies. You will also support vaccination programs, manage employee incidents, and assist as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.

You will serve as a point of contact for donor safety and eligibility issues, coordinate with medical affairs, and provide center‑level EHS support. You will maintain knowledge of plasma collection regulations and industry standards.

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history, physical examination, blood testing, and serological testing.
• Review and act on donor adverse events and laboratory results.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinate with the Center Physician on standing orders.
• Provide guidance on donor safety and eligibility issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal influenza vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health as needed.
• Cooperate with EHS as Pandemic Coordinator on investigations.
• Provide center‑level EHS support.

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate degree from a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years clinical or hospital experience.

U.S. hourly wage range: $28.16 - $38.72 per hour. U.S. employees accrue up to 80 hours of sick time and up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
