Overview
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - PMHNP position at Sound Choice Mental Health in Lacey, WA. This is an in-person office position. The provider will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and collaborative treatment planning for patients experiencing mental health challenges. The role emphasizes in-person collaboration with a team of mental health professionals in an integrative, evidence-based care setting, with a strong patient-provider relationship.

- Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and substance use disorders.
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to develop integrative and individualized care.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medicine based on a traditional/integrative/complementary/holistic framework.
- Routinely establish patient/provider therapeutic relationships and provide evidence-based psychotherapy to support patients mental health and overall well-being.
- Collaborate on a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- In-person role located in Lacey, WA office.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- ANCC Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Active RN and APRN license in Washington.
- DEA license with Schedule II-V prescribing authority (or eligibility).
- Minimum 2 years of psychiatric/mental health clinical experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally competent care.
