Job Summary

Job Description

We are hiring a Professional Sales Representative for La‑Z‑Boy Furniture Galleries in Lacey, WA. The role focuses on guiding high‑end clients through a premium sales experience, curating luxury looks, and building long‑term customer relationships that drive increased sales and profitability. The position requires excellent communication, customer‑service skills, and a strong sales background—luxury retail experience is a major plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell furniture, accessories, and services to achieve store sales goals.
  • Promote the Design program and support the Designer in meeting sales objectives.
  • Execute the La‑Z‑Boy selling process, including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, portfolio presentation, objection handling, closing, and follow‑up.
  • Maximize promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all product lines and consistently adhere to company processes.
  • Schedule home consultations, present customized room designs, and recommend installation services.
  • Provide high‑level customer service, resolve issues, and use Podium for satisfaction and follow‑up.
  • Assist in staff training, coaching, and development of new peers.
  • Maintain store appearance, manage visual displays, and keep accurate order, deposit, and customer records.
  • Accurately complete daily On‑Point system logs and handle store opening/closing duties.
  • Support deliveries, schedule installations, and ensure timely customer service.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for long periods; frequently sit, walk, bend, and stoop.
  • Perform repetitive hand motions; require hearing and listening.
  • Work in an indoor environment; pass background and drug screening.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prevailing sales experience and ability to close a sale
  • Excellent communication, customer‑service, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to build rapport and influence
  • Effective time‑management and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Team‑player mentality; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
Compensation (Lacey, WA)
  • Training Pay: $18.00 per hour for 2‑6 weeks (no commission)
  • After Training:
    • Base pay: $13.50 per hour
    • Commission: 1%‑6% on monthly sales based on achievement vs. goal; uncapped on written sales
    • Commission percent increases with higher performance to goal
    • Minimum wage adjustments to meet local requirements when necessary
