Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in a hospital float pool, requiring a NH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in the hospital float pool, covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units
- 12-hour night shifts are required
- Assignment length is 13 or 26 weeks based on contract
- Floating may be required to additional nearby hospital locations
- EMR used is Cerner, with experience preferred but not required
- Accepts local candidates with a local rate for those residing within a 50-mile radius
- Weekly orientation provided
- Responsibilities may include care for both medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
- Active NH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 1-2 years Med/Surg experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
- ACLS certification preferred
- Must complete a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%
- 3 professional references required upon commitment, with 2 from leadership
- Critical Care RNs considered if experienced with Med/Surg ratios and acuity
