RN, Inpatient Emergency Services

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for population-specific patients with simple to complex, multi-system issues
• Gather and interpret patient history and physical assessment data
• Develop, evaluate, and revise patient care plans and nursing actions
• Document care and patient progress toward desired outcomes
• Direct and supervise delegated nursing activities
• Teach patients and significant others about the plan of care
• Prepare patients to manage care after discharge, transfer, or procedures/tests
• Manage time and resources to deliver patient care
• Administer medications and provide direct patient care
• Lead the health care team
• Serve as a resource person for the assigned shift
• Precept new employees
• Perform job-specific requirements and other assigned duties
• Report to the Director and/or Nurse Manager
• May participate in supervision of Licensed Nursing Assistants and unlicensed personnel

• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
• Registered Nurse
  - New Hampshire Board of Nursing
• Basic Life Support
  - American Heart Association
• One year prior clinical nursing experience
• Experience working effectively and positively with patients, care providers, and the multidisciplinary team
• Ability to perform as a member of a team
• Ability to assess patient status and interpret age-specific needs across the life span
• Ability to perform nursing and medical interventions safely
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, or push/pull up to 10 pounds; frequently 10–25 pounds; occasionally 20–50 pounds
• Ability to perform fine motor tasks, hear, speak, and walk; frequently bend, reach, sit, squat, and stand; occasionally climb, perform repetitive motion, kneel, and smell
• Required vision abilities include color vision, depth perception, far vision, near vision, and peripheral vision
• Ability to work with exposure to pathogens, bodily fluids, airborne contaminants, chemotherapeutic agents, electrical hazards, moving mechanical parts, heat or cold, slippery surfaces, and toxic or caustic chemicals

Demonstrates expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions while effectively leading a healthcare team. Proficient in managing patient care, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety in clinical settings.
