Quality Inspector Level II
The Quality Inspector Level II is responsible for performing quality inspections on in-process and final products to ensure compliance with company and customer standards. This role utilizes a variety of inspection methods, tools, and advanced measurement systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor junior inspectors while supporting continuous quality improvement.
Essential Functions- Perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections on products
- Inspect parts using hand tools, precision measurement equipment, CMMs, and Optical Comparators
- Prepare inspection reports, Certificates of Conformance
, and assist with FAI (First Article Inspection) and customer certification requirements - Route parts to appropriate secondary processes and ensure timely delivery to Shipping
- Communicate project status, inspection results, and quality issues to department leads and Project Managers
- Train and mentor employees on department operations, procedures, and quality standards
- Guide less experienced inspectors and provide technical solutions to maintain rigorous quality control
- Support production teams in adhering to ISO 9001 processes
- Inspect incoming products from external processes for specification compliance
- Participate in internal and external audits and compliance initiatives
- Follow established procedures and work instructions while contributing ideas for process improvement
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Competencies equivalent to Quality Inspector Level I
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting complex manufacturing drawings
- Strong understanding of hand measurement tools and inspection equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

, and CMM software - High level of motivation, accountability, and professionalism
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and adapt to change
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to mentor others, resolve conflicts, and perform effectively under pressure
- Collaborative team player with leadership capabilities
- Experience equivalent to Quality Inspector Level I
- Minimum 5 years of inspection experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of applicable manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001
, AS 9100
, and/or ISO 13485 (Medical) standards - GD&T training certificate from a recognized instructor required
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and handle parts of varying sizes
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs on a moderate basis
- Visual acuity for close vision, color vision, depth perception, and detail focus
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels
- Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration
- Hearing protection provided as needed
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
