AG Supermarkets, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Associated Grocers of New England, Inc., operates five supermarkets in New Hampshire:
Vista in Laconia, Sully's in Goffstown and Allenstown, Harvest Market of Wolfeboro, and Berlin Marketplace in Berlin. Customers shopping these stores find the most personalized, friendly service with the highest quality food products. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Deli Manager for our Laconia, NH store;
This is a high demand position in charge of Deli/Seafood and a required understanding of Deli and merchandising
Responsible for Deli/Seafood Department personnel to include clerks
- Interview, hire and train employees
- Formulate a weekly schedule including breaks and lunches for employees
- Implement pricing policies according to requirements for profitability
- Strong math skills along with the ability to forecast sales, monitor inventory levels and understand P&L
- Must have flexible availability
- Monthly inventory or when requested
- Ability to merchandise and to control shrink
- Periodically visit competitors for ideas and pricing
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
- Ensure compliance of established procedures, practices, sales, safety and security according to A.G. Supermarkets, Inc. Policies
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong Deli background
- Serv Safe Certified
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers, employees and management
- High School Equivalent
- Work is performed in a typical retail work environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
