Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounting Clerk, where your enthusiasm for numbers and attention to detail will drive accurate financial operations. In this vital role, you will support various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial standards and contributing to the smooth running of our financial processes. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data and support our organizational goals.
Duties- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within accounting software such as Quick Books, Encompass, Sage, or Workday.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Assist with month-end closing activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct account reconciliation tasks to verify accuracy across multiple ledgers and financial reports.
- Assist with financial reporting, including preparing schedules for audits and supporting documentation for internal controls such as SOX compliance.
- Perform routine bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, double-entry bookkeeping, and maintaining detailed records for non-profit or governmental accounting environments.
- Proven experience working as an accounting clerk or in a similar bookkeeping role within corporate or governmental accounting settings.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero, Sage, People Soft, Ceridian, or Ulti Pro is essential.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Experience handling accounts payable/receivable processes with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations and manage multiple financial tasks efficiently using 10 key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping techniques.
