Job Summary
The Project Engineer II supports the project management team in executing large-scale commercial landscape construction projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager to assist with planning, coordination, and oversight, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Responsibilities- Work with the construction team to ensure that all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications, on budget, according to schedule, and with a high standard of quality
- Perform takeoffs using Onscreen Take-off (OST) and gather pricing for estimates
- Review take-offs with the estimating team
- Manage document control, including submittals, change orders, field production tracking, purchasing documentation, and contract administration
- Prepare reports and information as requested
- Coordinate between the branch administrative team, field employees, sales team, estimating team, and branch management regularly
- Work closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and employees; ensure exceptional customer service and quality at all times
- B.A degree in Landscape Architecture, civil engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent work experience
- Proficient with computer software programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and project management software
- Strong work ethic
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service experience
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers
- Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the time
- Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence
- Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting, and requires in-person presence
