Safety & Maintenance

• Attends required safety meetings and actively participates in additional safety training/requirements, as needed. Follows safety protocol. Looks for new solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or prevention measures.

• Maintain Prep Area including the filter doors, linear sanding machine, dryer racks and floor space.

• Keep Prep Area Cabinet organized, labeled, and stocked with PPE and other essential supplies such as cups, liners, lids, sandpaper, sponges, pads, wall filters, door filters, paint formulas, equipment documents, painting methods, spray guns and parts.

• Store paints and stains in the flammables cabinet that will be used within 24 hours, all others stored in the Paint Storage Bunker.

• Maintain an organized Mixing Table, storing paints and stains that will not be used within 24 hours in the Paint Storage Bunker.

• Maintain the Spray Booth by ensuring the doors are shut during operation, floors are as clear as possible and replacing floor paper as needed.

• Maintain Spray Booth equipment by flushing Cup Guns of solvent daily, flushing AAA Guns twice a week, flushing Airless Guns at least once a week and not laying spray guns on the floor.

Quality Control

• Record process for finishing on forms.

• Record new formulas in the LCCM's Finish Log.

• Ensure Production Packets accompany trim and cabinets to Shipping Department.

• Take ownership that all finished goods leaving the paint booth meet LCCM's Quality Standards.

Finishing

• Receive and prepare materials for finishing to include puttying, caulking, masking, and sanding.

• Verify finish type (paint/clear), stain and desired sheen prior to finishing.

• Verify that all required materials are on hand for production.

• Finish trim and custom casework including priming, painting, staining, and application of topcoats.

• Match stain and paint to color samples for projects.

• Order materials through Purchasing Manager as needed per job.

• Utilize paint booth equipment properly, including cup gun, air assisted gun, and airless paint gun and pump.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Critical thinking and problem solving.

• Be able to physically meet the demands of a Finisher to include, lifting up to 50 pounds and have a full range of body motion.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

• In-depth knowledge of finishing materials and processes.

• Forklift certification preferred.

• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.

• Must be able to work in areas exposed to paint, stain, glue fumes. Masks and/or respirators will be provided.

Work Schedule:

• (4) 10-hour shifts - Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 6 pm. There is the opportunity for overtime on Fridays.
