Mercedes‑Benz Vans, LLC (MBV) located in Ladson, South Carolina, seeks a Quality Intern to join our Quality Management team. This role provides hands‑on experience in a production environment where innovation meets precision.

Overview

As a Quality Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and quality professionals, contributing to real projects and learning from the best.

Responsibilities
  • Support root cause analysis and collaborate with the failure analysis team to solve complex production issues.
  • Apply statistical tools to analyze quality trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in shop floor meetings and project discussions, documenting key insights and actions.
  • Monitor internal quality metrics, including Q‑Release and failure management processes.
  • Assist in audit preparation and execution.
  • Lead your own quality improvement initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Inspect incoming materials and support the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
  • Track production and supplier claims to ensure timely resolution and feedback.
  • Organize and moderate internal quality meetings, fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a 2‑ or 4‑year degree program in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and public‑speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Solid foundation in math and science.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Passion for quality management and continuous improvement.
