Position: Security Officer - Visitor Screening at Ladson, SC

As a Security Officer - Visitor Screening in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors, and manage access control and badge checks while maintaining a visible presence.

You will document activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and support smooth shift transitions as part of a security-related program. You will thrive in an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

    What You ll Do
    • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
    • Screen individuals and belongings using approved methods and equipment, verify identification and/or credentials, and help deter unauthorized items or entry.
    • Control access at entry points by processing sign-in and sign-out activity, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining security-related logs and reports.
    • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
    • Conduct regular and random patrols of the interior work areas, yard, and perimeter to observe unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
    Minimum Requirements
    • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
    • Have customer service experience (preferred).
    • Have access control and/or badge experience (preferred).
    • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
