Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunities are open for three dedicated Special Education Teachers to work in a dynamic school environment for the  academic year! These contract positions are located near Lafayette, AL, and offer the chance to positively impact the lives of students across a range of ages and needs. Excellent support is provided by paraprofessionals in each classroom.

Positions Available
  • PreK Special Education Teacher for an inclusion class of up to 18 four-year-olds, including both students with IEPs and typical peers. Two paraprofessionals assist, and the classroom operates on EST.
  • General Education Inclusion Teacher:
    Two positions are open, one on CST and one on EST, serving K-5 students in classrooms of 11 or fewer.
  • Secondary Special Education Teacher for a self-contained class of grades 6–8 (possibly adding grade
    5). The class has 5–6 students, not to exceed 10, with two paraprofessionals for assistance; this class also operates on EST.
Qualifications
  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience or strong interest in working with diverse learning needs
  • Knowledge of IEP process and differentiated instruction
  • Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and general educators
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptability and compassion for students of varying abilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
  • Provide regular progress reports
  • Foster social, emotional, and academic growth in students
