Century Group is partnering with an established manufacturing organization to hire their VP Finance! This is an onsite role in Lafayette, CA, with an entrepreneurial team culture and great benefits. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary is $150,000 to $200,000 per year.

Responsibilities will include :
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies for corporate financial planning, encompassing expansion of manufacturing capacity and introduction or expansion of product lines. Provide insightful analysis and input to the strategic planning process to drive sound decision-making.
  • Manage financing and banking strategies, including investment of company funds, and ensure effective cash management. Maintain strong relationships with banks and investors to support long-term financial stability and growth.
  • Collaborate with operating company leadership and teams to foster a deep understanding of underlying margin, costing, and financial results. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align financial objectives with overall corporate goals.
  • Develop effective strategies and tools for inventory management, debt reduction, customer credit policies, and cash flow optimization. Maximize profitability through strategic financial planning.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to complete periodic and annual audits. Implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the establishment and maintenance of internal control systems to safeguard corporate assets. Maintain proper insurance coverage to mitigate potential risks and losses.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Hands on, finance and accounting background
  • Cost accounting and manufacturing experience
  • Desire to grow with a company long-term
  • Net Suite experience is a plus
