A family in the East Bay is looking for a full-time housekeeper to join their team.

This position supports the existing lead full-time housekeeper with high-level cleaning and laundry skills. This is a live out position and must have own vehicle.

Children and animals are part of the home environment. Must be comfortable with both.

Schedule: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun 10am-6pm

Salary: $50-$55/hr plus PTO, Paid Holidays, full medical and 401k

Location: Lafayette, CA

This is a full-time role in a home with distinct routines and two additional structures; the role may include assisting with cleaning of a nearby secondary home in the absence of the lead full-time housekeeper.

Full-time support is needed as follows:

• Monday 10-6
• Tuesday 10-6
• Wednesday OFF
• Thursday OFF
• Friday 10-6
• Saturday 10-6
• Sunday 10-6

This is an opportunity to join a small, dynamic team supporting a family of five. The role requires a strong background of high-level housekeeping and excellent laundry skills. The daily duties range from cleaning home interior surfaces, making beds, cleaning of exterior entertaining spaces, laundry, home organizing, and, on occasion, dinner prep in the absence of a nanny, and feeding and cleaning up after pets.

The full-time housekeeper is responsible for assisting with the overall upkeep of the primary home with two additional structures, and possibly assisting with cleaning of a nearby secondary home in the absence of the lead full-time housekeeper.

• Oversee and ensure the daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning, organizing, laundry, ironing, and pet care. Must have a keen eye for detail.
• Be self-directed and motivated to maintain a pristine and well-functioning home.
• Assist with managing household supplies, cleaning products, and laundry products to ensure inventory is adequately stocked.
• Open, strong communication skills; comfortable working with other team members, and in an environment with children, cats, dogs, and chickens.
• Provide direct principal support on various tasks.
• Ensure all interior rooms are exceptionally clean, with attention to deep cleaning and seasonal cleaning needs.
• Coordinate tasks in a property consisting of multiple structures with limited access at different times and days.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor furniture and cover furniture as needed for forecasted rainy weather.
• Work in tandem with the lead full-time housekeeper and report to the Estate Manager.

• Uses discretion and maintains strict confidentiality regarding all matters related to the family and guests.
• Understands the sensitivity and private nature of the role.
• Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

• Five years (5+) of housekeeping in a private residence with a proven track record.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in English.
• Ability to adapt and reprioritize without compromising a high level of cleanliness and organization.
• Comfortable and proactive in organizing closets, drawers, shelves, and paying close attention to items out of place.
• Ability to use a smartphone and respond to texts or calls during working hours.
