The Donor Engagement Manager is a creative, curious and highly organized member of the Development team who helps build meaningful relationships between Las Trampas and its donors, supporters and community. Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy, the Donor Engagement Manager helps bring fundraising and engagement strategies to life through donor communications, storytelling, events, grants, digital outreach and stewardship. The role also maintains the systems, data and project management needed to ensure those efforts are thoughtful, accurate and successful.

The ideal candidate is both a thinker and a doer: someone who enjoys generating ideas, asking thoughtful questions, learning about our programs and community, and then turning those ideas into well-executed work.

• Donor Engagement & Communications Support the planning and execution of donor engagement, stewardship and fundraising campaigns.
• Create and coordinate compelling donor communications through email, print, website and social media.
• Identify stories, accomplishments and opportunities that can deepen engagement with Las Trampas.
• Build positive relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers and community members, and support donor follow-up and stewardship.
• Maintain an ongoing communications and engagement calendar.
• Ensure external communications are accurate, accessible, mission-aligned and consistent with Las Trampas' voice.
• Events & Community Engagement Coordinate fundraising, donor and community engagement events in partnership with the Director of Philanthropy.
• Manage event timelines, vendors, registration, logistics and other event needs.
• Support sponsorship outreach, fulfillment and stewardship.
• Help create welcoming, accessible and meaningful experiences for guests, donors and supporters.
• Grants & Fundraising Support Research potential institutional funding opportunities.
• Maintain the grants calendar and coordinate application and reporting deadlines.
• Draft grant applications and reports using verified program, financial and outcome information in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy and appropriate program and finance staff.
• Support annual campaigns, sponsor ships and other fundraising initiatives.
• CRM & Development Systems Maintain accurate donor and constituent records in the organization's CRM.
• Coordinate donor acknowledgments, segmentation, mailing lists and development reporting.
• Help use donor data to better understand supporters and identify opportunities for engagement and stewardship.
• Maintain project timelines and systems that keep development initiatives moving forward.
• Collaboration & Quality Build relationships across departments to understand Las Trampas' programs, participants and impact.
• Gather and verify information needed for fundraising and communications projects.
• Review materials carefully for accuracy, clarity and consistency.
• Proactively identify missing information, upcoming deadlines, opportunities and potential challenges.
• Communicate early when priorities, timelines or additional information need to be addressed.
• Take ownership of projects from concept through completion while seeking guidance or clarification when needed.

• Experience in nonprofit development, communications, donor engagement, marketing, events or a related field.
