Overview

The Applied Electromagnetics Division of Applied Research Associates, Inc., is seeking Printed Circuit Board Technicians for facilities in Lafayette, CO and Huntsville, AL. This entry-level position offers opportunities to learn and grow, including soldering and populating circuit board components, assembling RF, DC, and digital wiring, cables and connectors, and bonding and packaging of multi-layer circuit boards. The role involves small-scale repetitive tasks, often under a microscope, with attention to detail and quality.

The candidate will have the opportunity to learn and operate electrical and RF diagnostic test equipment to troubleshoot or evaluate hardware performance, as well as manufacturing shop equipment and common hand tools. A security clearance may be required.

Education:

High school diploma or GED, with six months to one year of experience.

This position is in the office only; remote work is not available.

Salary Range: $18-25 / hour depending on experience.

What you’ll do as a Printed Circuit Board Technician
  • Populate circuit boards with components
  • Bond multi-layer circuit boards and composite materials
  • Assemble RF, DC, and digital wiring, cables, and connectors
  • Measure circuit board components performance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 to 1+ years of experience
  • Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Preferences
  • Aerospace industry work is a plus
